Features
Flutt Server Status is constantly evolving and new features are being added with
each new build. As the script is still in its infancy many features you might
want to see are not as yet implemented.
Below is a rundown of the main features in the current publicly available build
of the script. If you have thoughts on what you would like to see in the future
check out our todo list to see if its currently in
development, or contact us.
- Monitoring of unlimeted servers - unlike the majority of server status
scripts there is no limit on the number of servers which can be monitored by
FSS
- Monitor any service and port - configure FSS to monitor any service you have
running on any port, not just http services but others such as FTP and IRC
- Uptime monitoring - FSS can display the current uptime (the time since the
last reboot) independently for each of your servers along with its current
status.
- Easy to administer - the admin backend make the script easy to configure and
use for server admins and none-technical people alike.
- No database - all configurations are stored in flat files.
- Information generated on-the-fly - all the data used by FSS is generated
at the time the user calls the page meaning the information they get is always
up-to-date and never gets stale.
- Customiseable refresh - you can specify how often the data is refreshed if
the page is kept open for constant monitoring purposes.
- Include in existing pages - using the include version you can quickly and
easily integrate FSS with your existing support and status pages.
- Customiseable colours - you can change the colours the script uses to suit
the colour scheme of the rest of your web pages.
- Complete templating system to allow you to change the look of the page
around the status monitor tables.
- Multiple language support through easily configurable langauge packs.
